Are you sabotaging a good relationship because of someone else’s heartbreak? If you’ve ever found yourself suspecting your partner simply because of what your friends went through, or what you saw trending on social media, then this episode is your wake-up call.
In this episode we talk about the hidden power of the "Eye Gate" and "Ear Gate." And we expose how secondary trauma, social media algorithms, and toxic group chats silently erode our trust and emotional peace. We talk about how to guard your heart against stories that don't belong to you.
You must learn to stop punishing an innocent person for a crime committed by someone else’s ex. Empathy means supporting your friends; it does not mean adopting their trauma as your reality.

Happy Independence Day, Nigerians!
One common question on the lips of most Nigerians today is, “Are we really independent?”
Today may be Nigerian’s 66th year of independence, but it seems we are even more dependent on others now than in the past.
But today I’m not here to blame our leaders alone. Today I’m here to ask what role we are all playing as citizens to help Nigeria?
Are you contributing to the betterment or downfall of Nigeria?
The Nigeria you want to see, begins with you. It is the people that makes the country. And I dare say that our leaders are a reflection of who we are.
If you want Nigeria to be great again, be a great and patriotic citizen.

Have you ever prayed to God for something, and then ‘trusted’ Him to do it, but when it seemed not to come as quick as you wanted it, you decided to find an alternative solution?
Or perhaps, God was your option A when you prayed, but you had other options just in case he ‘failed’ or ‘disappointed’ you?
If, yes, then this episode is for you.
Hebrew 11:1 says, “Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see.”
Faith is such a big deal to God that when Abraham believed in the promises He made to him, God counted is as righteousness.
In the same manner, only faith in Jesus is what saves us.
Am I saying when you have faith everything will happen the way you want it, when you want it, and how you want it?
Absolutely not!
Faith is absolutely trusting God to do it, and saying if God doesn’t do it, so be it like the three Hebrew boys in Daniel 3:16-18.
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.”

Have you ever experienced something bad and blamed God for it?
Have you ever been mad at God for allowing something bad to happen to others?
Have you ever asked why God allows bad things to happen to good people?
Well, I believe we've all had these feelings and asked some of these questions at some point in our lives.
In this episode, we talk about how human factors play a lot of role in the things we blame God for. We also talk about the need for us to learn to take responsibility for our actions rather than blame God.
We must learn to trust God's will and plan for our lives, and also go to Him in prayer whenever we see that things are not working well.
A closed mouth is a closed destiny. If you won't pray about it, then don't complain about it.
Also, rather than blame God, seek his face and take your questions to Him. God is not afraid of your questions. Ask, and He will give you clarity and peace.

I’m not feeling much like recording anything, but for the sake of consistency I’m going to leave this here. So, listen and be motivated💪
Respect is a multifaceted concept.
Often times we have heard people use the phrases “respect is earned not demanded” and “respect is reciprocal” and we may have used them too. But do we really understand what these phrases mean?
On today’s episode of Heart To Heart with Jewel Chima, we explore what both phrase means.
And in today’s episode, we talk about what it means to respect someone and how it is different from showing someone respect.
In this episode, we talk about the general respect for people being a baseline and then explore the deeper level of respect which is earned through a person's actions, character, and consistency, rather than their status.
We also distinguish between internally respecting someone and externally showing respect, as one can show respect without truly feeling it.
And finally we discuss the various types of respect which includes; respect for parents, friends, partners, and oneself as crucial.

We often talk about starting.
Starting the business.Starting the book.Starting the fitness journey.Starting the savings plan.Starting that new habit.
But what happens after the excitement wears off?
In this episode of Heart to Heart with Jewel Chima, we’re talking about the power of consistency—why showing up repeatedly matters, why small steps shouldn’t be underestimated, and what to do when you fall off and need to begin again.
Because sometimes, success isn’t about being the most talented or having the biggest head start.
Sometimes, it’s simply about refusing to stop showing up.

What happens when the motivation disappears?
We all have goals we want to achieve, but wanting something and consistently doing what is required to achieve it are two very different things.
In this episode of Heart to Heart with Jewel Chima, we’re talking about one of the most important, and often overlooked, ingredients of success: discipline.
Because sometimes, the problem isn’t that we don’t know what to do. We know exactly what needs to be done. The challenge is doing it consistently, especially when we don’t feel like it.
This is a conversation about choosing long-term growth over temporary comfort, staying committed when the excitement fades, and learning to show up even when nobody is watching.
Because the life you’re praying for may require the discipline you’re currently avoiding.

Nobody enjoys hearing that they're wrong.
We all love encouragement, compliments, and recognition. But what happens when the feedback isn't positive? What happens when someone points out a flaw, a mistake, or an area where we need to grow?
Do we listen?
Do we become defensive?
Or do we dismiss the message before we've even considered whether there's truth in it?
In this episode of Heart to Heart with Jewel Chima, we're exploring our attitude toward feedback—especially the kind that stings. Together, we'll unpack why criticism can be so difficult to receive, how to discern between destructive criticism and constructive correction, and why a teachable heart is one of the greatest keys to personal and spiritual growth.
Whether the feedback comes from a loved one, a mentor, a colleague, or even someone you least expect, this conversation will challenge you to respond with wisdom instead of defensiveness.

Join me as we discover that sometimes the greatest breakthroughs in our lives begin with the courage to receive uncomfortable feedback.
How do you respond when the answer is "no"?
We've spent years learning how to set boundaries, protect our peace, and confidently say "no." But there's another side of the conversation we don't talk about nearly enough: learning how to accept someone else's "no" with grace.
In this episode of Heart to Heart with Jewel Chima, we're exploring why the word "no" can sting so deeply, what it reveals about our hearts, and how responding with emotional maturity can strengthen our relationships and transform the way we handle disappointment.
Whether it's a loved one, a friend, a colleague, or even a closed door you didn't expect, this conversation will challenge you to see "no" from a different perspective.
Join me as we discover that sometimes the most powerful growth doesn't come from hearing "yes," but from learning how to respond when the answer is "no."
