Heartrepreneur® Radio | Episode 32 | Leslie Karen Hammond on Healing Ourselves And Other People

Listen Later

Most of us tend to keep to ourselves and not speak up. We do this too much that it builds up only to tear us back down, apart from our friends, family, and even ourselves. But the body never lies and it shows just how much it’s breaking you. Empowering story whisperer, Leslie Karen Hammond, can easily distinguish this. She tells her own story and points out the many ways we can turn these imperfections into something that will make us shine brighter. Coming face to face with our own flaws and by turning it around helps not only in healing ourselves but other people. She shows how we can be healers, too, despite it all.

Thank you, Terri. I’m so happy to be here.

I'm delighted to have you. I have to start by asking you how did you get this title, The Empowering Story Whisperer?

It took a lot of work. I reflected back on the greatest value that I provide to my clients and it all boils down to helping them become empowered by their stories instead of running from it.

I’ve seen people who are trying to overlook their story and trying to ignore their stories. It causes a lot of issues in their lives, businesses, and their health. Would you agree with that?

Absolutely, the body never lies.

One of the things I noticed for myself is lots of my clients don't speak up. There are situations at work, in life, personal situations and that they don't speak up. I'm a confident person and yet sometimes I have some hidden stories being transparent with you. What would you say about that? What do you do about that?

For one thing, you're in good company. It’s how the story is framed when it is used as a tool for teaching and empowering others, it makes all the difference in the world. Many women get into these fields because of their own struggles. I've worked with a health coach before who had a lot of food addictions as well as other addictions. She was bothered by coming out into the world when she felt that she had not yet achieved perfection. She still had some food issues and, therefore, she was guarded. She hadn't mastered everything she was teaching to the degree where s...
