On this Mother’s Day and the Fifth Sunday of Easter, we join in a prayer of thanksgiving for all mothers and mother figures. We also consider Jesus words of assurance and comfort to his disciples in the midst of endings and uncertainty. Reading: John 14:1-14 NRSV
