The Destruction of Faith: Chapters 19-22

Stacey shows up at Faith's mother's house, telling her a sad story of what Faith did to her at the club. She uses that excuse to get in Ruth's good grace. Freedom finally wakes up and realizes what kind of night he and Faith had. Faith goes to the bookstore and has an experience that can not be explained. Faith begins to feel comfortable around Freedom, but she does begin to suspect something is off. Ruth has memories of her past which causes the hate for Faith to intensify. Faith calls Stacey and tells her how she feels about speaking with her mother. She meets with Betty, and horrible things are revealed during Betty's reading. Faith goes to the club and meets a newcomer who sparks her interest. Stacey confronts her at the club, and chaos erupts.
