Every few years, The National Academy of Engineering publishes their vision of the future Grand Challenges facing our world. It’s no surprise that more than one of the challenges for the 21st century has to do with energy. Long-term energy supply options like solar and nuclear are a major focus for many engineers today. Dr. Baratunde Cola is an associate professor in the Woodruff School of Mechanical Engineering and focused on developing materials that can regulate heat flow, potentially having a significant impact on the energy sector.
