On this episode we've got a mix of important veterinary information and training tips from our expert staff.
Dr Nicola Cotton, Veterinary and Reproduction Manager at Seeing Eye Dogs, gives us some important information on recognising the signs of heatstroke, preventing it and how to act if you are concerned about heatstroke. Then we talk about parasite prevention, and how to find the right protection for your dog.
Then Abi Howes, Puppy Development Trainer, is back with us talking about helping your puppy or dog settle in public. These tips are perfect for events coming up during the holiday season and can assist your dog to be happy and comfortable hanging out!
If you'd like more information on settling with Abi, last week's episode contains some home-specific settling tips which are a great place to start, that episode is available to stream online.

We are looking for puppy carers now so if you're keen to raise a puppy to hopefully become a Seeing Eye Dog we'd like to hear from you! It's an incredibly rewarding experience, with training provided. Carers need time, patience and love to give to a puppy, so if you want to commit to a year of puppy raising, we would love your help. If you live in the North Brisbane or Sunshine Coast regions of Queensland or in Victoria in Geelong, Bendigo and select areas of metro Melbourne (listed on our Website) get in touch to find out about volunteering with us or apply now via our website.
