In preparation for service week we want to motivate our church folks to actively engage, but do so with a gospel/kingdom mindset. We want to avoid participation that is merely marketing based, or mere emotional hype or with a benefactor posture = “those poor people need our help. We have privilege and resources, so we are the solution”) (Luke 22). Through this series we want our people to engage moved by a deeper experience of the gospel as well as a humble servant posture, as well as instill that this week should be a microcosm of an entire lifestyle. Finally, through this series we want our people to understand that this is the entire gospel: not by works... for good works (Eph 2:8-10)
