Readings: Acts 2:42-47 and Matthew 22:15-22

God’s kingdom or realm isn’t an abstraction, it’s a reality.  However, that reality is dependent upon us to do our part–in other words, we play a vital role.  Our sacred texts provide us with powerful examples of the here-and-now realm, if we hear now!  We are invited to a new way of living, one rooted in giving.  Do we accept?

In Sunday’s Parade of Pledges sermon entitled “Heaven is a Place on Earth?”  we will explore passages from Matthew and Acts that challenge us to examine two questions:  whose claim is ultimate in and on our lives?  And how does that claim manifest in God’s realm, here and now?  Please join us!
