I am so passionate about discipleship, so this episode was a difficult one for me to prep for. There were just so many things I could say!! Thank you to my sweet friend who gave me Principles of Spiritual Growth by Miles Stanford. I will treasure that book. Go read it!

In this episode, I focused on the foundation of discipleship: acknowledging ourselves as sinful, picking up our cross, following Jesus to Calvary, and crucifying ourselves, so we can be raised to new life in Christ Jesus.

We're back!!! It's been a fruitful season for both of us, so Jules and I get together and discuss current reads and things the Lord is revealing to us.

We spend time on God's love, Jesus' return, and what it means that death has lost its sting.

Jules and I went to London for spring break with our local church, City Church Tally. It was a transformative, uplifting, charismatic time, and I'm so thankful for the opportunity to have seen such a wonderful city. Our eyes were opened to the need for international missions, so please enjoy this interview with Julia. Her thoughts are pretty much my own. :)

Matthew Hilliard & Julia Templeton join me to discuss self-righteousness, pride, and humility. They walk through the difference between self-righteousness and humility, how to walk in humility, and what our response should be when we recognize self-righteousness & pride within ourselves.

The Lord gives us a purpose, which is to honor and glorify Him in all that we do. That means more than just our work, classes, and accomplishments. It also means when cleaning the apartment or getting groceries. I know it's hard to believe that when our entire lives are defined by grades, resumes, and career building. All we want to do is set ourselves up for success, but the Lord is who establishes our ways. Not us. We aren't even promised tomorrow! So if life is slow right now, or you don't feel like what you're doing matters, check your heart. What do you care about more? Serving our Creator or building a name for yourself?
