The rain pattered gently against the window, a lulling sound that was quickly putting me to sleep. I was cozy in my bed, the covers pulled up to my chin, and I felt safe and warm. It was the perfect night to just stay in bed and relax. I let my mind wander as I listened to the rain, thinking about all of the things that I was grateful for. I thought about my family and friends, and how lucky I was to have them in my life. I thought about all of the good moments from the past year, and how excited I was for everything that was yet to come.
