* Faith is like a stir stick - the minute you stir it up you know what’s at the bottom.

* If you have salt at the bottom, it gets salty - that’s good for cleaning a wound or clearing a throat.

* If it’s sugar, it gets sweet - that’s good for a drink to connect with friends.

* Faith influences our affection and actions.

* If we’re in a situation where we need to do something good, faith stirs up love and affection to do it.

* If we’re in a situation where we need to stay away from something evil, faith stirs up a healthy dose of fear.

* Vs 6 - It’s impossible to please God apart from faith - it literally keeps us in line with God (doing good and staying away from evil).

* God is a rewarder of those who “earnestly” seek Him.

* It takes faith to go after God like that.
