Extra note on the pronoun translations in verses 8-9: The Greek actually uses a different word than the typical masculine pronoun, and the author uses one that is more specific to an individual (which is why translations like NASB and ESV translate "Namely, Jesus"). This doesn't alter the conclusion I came to in this episode, but it's very interesting.
