In this final chapter of Hebrews, the author exhorts the believers about Christian practices that they were in danger of forgetting or neglecting. He calls them to exercise brotherly love, to remain constant in faith, to show honor and bring joy to those in leadership over them, and to follow Jesus even when it results in personal sacrifice or suffering. In the author’s inspired closing thoughts and benediction, we see the tender heart of our Good Shepherd who clearly and lovingly instructs and corrects believers through His living Word.
