The once tranquil and orderly household is now ensnared by an unsettling presence, a spectre that frazzles the nerves of every inhabitant. Fraulein Rottenmeier, with her mind clouded by suspicion and fear, treads the echoing halls, her steps heavy with trepidation.  Each murmur, each creak, and every shadow now seems to conceal an ethereal entity that both beckons and terrifies.

As the line between illusion and reality blurs, Herr Sesemann himself returns, summoned by the desperate letters of Fraulein Rottenmeier. Together with his old friend, the doctor, he sets out to confront the apparition that haunts his ancestral halls. What—or who—has caused such disturbance?
