A. God is auditing His own portfolio.

Psalm 50 is a court scene. God is speaking to His people. And in verse 10, He does something remarkable: He does not make a general statement about His power. He reads from the inventory. Every beast of the forest. The cattle on a thousand hills.

Why cattle? Because in the ancient world, cattle were liquid capital. They were currency, collateral, commercial value, and provision simultaneously. When God says the cattle on a thousand hills are His, He is not talking about animals. He is talking about the complete asset register of the created order — expressed in the commercial language of His audience.

①  Every beast of the forest — the unmanaged, undomesticated, unclaimed resources. The ones outside the visible market. The ones no human portfolio has yet registered.

②  The cattle on a thousand hills — not the cattle on the hills you can see from where you are standing. A thousand hills. The full breadth of the terrain across the entire created order.
