Great Period Romance Novel
Well let me say this book was awesome, with a great Narrator. I was pleasantly surprised with the story line. Unlike many other books where the Heroine is 21 yrs old, this series is about women that are older and have passions for writing, acting ect... none of witch are acceptable passions for ladies of London in the 1800's. Great plot that held my attention. I listened in one sitting. Worth a credit? YES and I just started period novels! I will going to the next book in the series. I also love that all of the books in the series came out at the same time so no waiting!
What a nice surprises
This book surprised me. I enjoyed it more than I thought I would.
It was entertaining. I liked the main characters but I admit some of the secondary ones confused me. I find this on occasion with audiobooks. It can be difficult to sort all the characters when you can't just look back a paragraph or two to see who's who.
The narration was quite good. I have the next book in my library already.
A good romp through Victorian times.
A believable plot for the time period, when obsession with a lady's virtue makes it challenging to pursue one's dreams.
The "bad" guy wins
What was one of the most memorable moments of Heiress Without a Cause?
When William discovers the Madeline's true identity.
What about Emma Powells performance did you like?
I love her distinction of characters. I love to listen to books, rather than watch TV or reading (love to read, bad eyesight though) and having an awesome narrator brings the story to life.
Enjoyed
Skeptical at first, but found the book very enjoyable. It is definately worth a credit. Perhaps a bit unbelievable but held my interest. The narrator did an excellent job.
