Since 1997, Helaine has co-hosted the Public Broadcasting System (PBS) television show, “Treasures in Your Attic” and is one of the writers behind the syndicated newspaper column of the same name.

Helaine is also a contributing editor at Country Living magazine, a Hearst Publication.

Books she has authored or co-authored include: The Definitive Appraisal Handbook, The Official Identification and Price Guides to American Folk Art & Holiday Collectibles, and Tramp Art: A Folk Art Phenomenon.
