A shared history is what binds us together as communities, and the Gawler Oral History Project (GOHP) is dedicated to uncovering our shared history and creating a record of the lives of the people of Gawler.

Supported by the Gawler Community Broadcasting Association Inc. (GBA), the Gawler Oral History Project began in 2016 with an aim to preserve stories, experiences and ideas – from the past, the present and for the future – and to create a resource for families, locals, amateur historians and academic researchers to discover more about our shared past.
