Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara, the beautiful lake on its grounds, and the Laxman temple close by are all holy places that bring both spiritual seekers and tourists to this area. It's not easy for pilgrims and mostly old souls to get to this place because it's at an amazing height of 4,633 meters. You have to walk about 15 km on a steep slope, which is not easy. Helicopter for Hemkund Sahib are available, so this shouldn't stop you from going there.
