After Ansel's run-in with Elmer Hurstonson, the owner of the mining camp that hired our burned-out heroes to clear out the dragon threat, he begins to realize that whatever the warlock did to him is far more precarious than a typical devil's pact. As Yara, Judicia, and Thalia investigate Mr. Hurstonson's shack, they realize there's only one solution to set things right for the future of the Feraelands, and for Ansel's soul.
