A 16-year old trans-boy, Benji, is on the run from the gul that raised him. They also infect him with something which could wipe out the remaining portion of civilization, if they are able to harness it for their own use. However, Benji does not want to be used... he wants to survive. This is a moving and hard hitting book about transgender and LGBTQ+ kids trying to survive through the apocalypse long enough to grow up.
