On today’s “Hello Houston,” Ernie, Frank and Celeste discuss the big topics of the day such as Trump freezing funds for Harvard, the childcare crisis in Texas, the Texas bullet train losing a grant, Starbucks making a big change, and social media’s action figure craze at the top of each hour.

Also, in the first hour, Bill King of Rice University’s Baker Institute for Public Policy discusses the local economy and answers listeners’ questions. Then, Rebecca Roberts, Executive Director for the children’s charity CYCLE discusses the charity's commitment to early literacy intervention for students in the Greater Houston area.

In the second hour, we discuss adult autism with Donna Wilson and Jacquice Jones from The Monarch School and Institute, an organization that serves students and young adults with neurological differences, along with Adam Brock who shares his experience as an adult diagnosed with autism later in life.

Plus, singer-songwriter and actress Amanda McBroom joins in to discuss her concert event at the University of Houston’s Quintero Theatre this Friday, April 18.
