Nerdy is no more

The café, events space and gaming venue on Mardol in Shrewsbury closed last weekend.

Some of the Nerdy diehards said goodbye to the venue with The Final Hurrah, a cabaret evening, on Sunday night.

I went along to meet some of them and to take in part of the show. Hear what happened on this episode of Hello You the Shropshire podcast.

It’s County Show weekend!

Shropshire County Show takes place tomorrow (Saturday 24th) at the County Showground on Berwick Road in Shrewsbury.

I’ll be there, sitting on a bench (or a bale) to record some random conversations, and making a soundscape of the event too. The soundscape won’t be a static one, I’ll lead you around the whole site so it’ll be like an audio movie in vivid stereo.

You’ll be able to hear the soundscape on Monday morning as long as you’re a paid subscriber to Hello You the Shropshire podcast, and the bench/bale conversations will go out on Wednesday morning.
