Helmuth Rilling is a German conductor and choral conductor born on May 29, 1933, in Stuttgart, Germany. He is widely regarded as one of the foremost interpreters of Johann Sebastian Bach's music and has played a pivotal role in popularising Bach's choral works worldwide. Rilling founded the Gächinger Kantorei and the Bach-Collegium Stuttgart in 1954, leading them to international acclaim through numerous recordings and performances.
