Jesus said in John 14:26, "The Father is sending a great helper, the Holy Spirit, in My name to teach you everything and to remind you of all I have said to you.” How often in our journey in Christ do we forget that the great helper lives inside of us? We can all be found time and time again trying to do things in our own strength and reasoning everything out in our minds. This is a very difficult way to go about things when we consider that the Holy Spirit, the one who knows everything about everything, lives on the inside of us. How could we possibly forget that God the Holy Spirit lives in our spirit?! A great way to stay "God inside" minded is to stay full of the Holy Spirit as directed in Ephesians 5:18. The words in this verse, “be filled” means a continual refilling. Think of it this way, if you were to carry around a large cup of water completely full to the rim, you would be mindful all of the time what was in the cup. Others around you would be too because most likely you’d spill some of the water on them. That’s exactly what we want to be as children of God-continually full of the Holy Spirit, ever mindful of the helper who lives in us, and always overflowing onto those around us so that they can experience who lives in us too.
