A series of four special episodes will be dedicated to foreign women who share our love and excitement for mexican popular art and textiles.

Megan´s passion for popular art and handmade textiles runs in her veins, she inherited her love for textiles from her grandmother, who was a weaver herself and her mother who was also an artist and collector.

She founded The Catrinka Project in 2013 with the mission of empowering women around the world by supporting their art.
“I made a commitment that every part of the business would be focused on financially empowering women & girls - opening doors and creating choices for them, so that they can have control over their own lives”.
Her project currently supports girls for Guatemala to finish school by donating a percentage of the profits for each bag sold.

Megan inspired me from our first conversation; her commitment to supporting women around the world is admirable. We need more women supporting women.
