Hendrix wanted to make it. Aretha was a no-show. The Harlem Cultural Festival of 1969 took place 100 miles away from Woodstock, yet so few were aware of it's existence, much less it significance. Thanks to renewed interest in the raw footage of this event, we all get to enjoy this forgotten piece of American History.
