A double shooting in Henrico County Friday night has turned into a homicide investigation after one of the victims died. The incident occurred in 3600 block of Mechanicsville Turnpike at about 8:30 p.m. Police arrived to find two men suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. Forty-four year-old Darnell Lee Porter, of Henrico, has died from his injuries, while the second victim remains in critical condition at a local hospital. Police continue to investigate the shooting but have not released any suspect information.
