We are back with another episode, and we had none other than Henry Winter (@henrywinter) with us, Chief Football Writer of The Times.
We discussed football’s greatest challenges in an age of increasing commercialization, overcoming the stereotype of “thick” footballers and the empowered generation of players coming forth, the cultural and societal shifts and its implications on the type of players, managers and journalists in the industry, and much more!
Henry Winter is chief football writer of The Times. He’s a five-times winner at the Sports Journalists’ Association awards. He’s previously been at The Independent, and football correspondent for the Daily Telegraph. He’s also ghost-wrote the autobiographies of former Liverpool players Kenny Daglish, John Barnes, and Steven Gerrard, as well as Michael Carrick, and written “Fifty Years of Hurt: The Story of England Football in 2017”. He’s also the third English vote for the Ballon d’Or along with the Head Coach Gareth Southgate and captain Harry Kane.
