As Hector returns briefly to Troy we are given a glimpse inside the doomed city, and inside the life of the doomed hero. Book 6 is one of the more thematically self consistent books of the Iliad, and I attempt to highlight how seemingly small moments in the beginning are meant to frame the big emotional moments later on in the book.
