Forgiveness seems to happen on a small scale for all of us every day.  In Christie’s world, the small acts of forgiveness toward her kids and her husband keep the engine of her family operating smoothly.  In Izzy’s world, she’s still learning to navigate the line between wiping a slate clean and a more nuanced kind of moving on.

But what happens when something painful occurs? — When a friend doesn’t show up for you in the way that you’d hoped?  Or when the trauma of old relationships haunts you in new relationships?  Can forgiveness be learned as we mature and grow older, or will some grudges last forever?
