Almost all the journalistic focus has been on America’s southern border with Mexico, destination end of the migrant trail.  Anita Pouchard Serra led a team for the New York Times to trace the trail to one its most prolific points of origin – a town in El Salvador called Intipuca.  Migrancy has made some winners and losers there, and that’s only one way in which links between the US and Intipuca have divided that town.
