NM Gov. Susana Martinez’ Department of Human Services cried fraud and effectively fired all the private agencies serving the state’s addicted and mentally ill.  But there was no fraud, and the substitute agencies imported from AZ failed or quit.  The old agencies, Ben Altenberg, Director of the new PBS documentary The Shake Up, are out of business, and their most vulnerable clients bereft, adrift, and in some cases probably preventably, dead.
