Dead of winter seems a fine time to think about the ever-growing threat to lives and property from wildfires.  In part because of the ever-growing influence of climate change, we in NM are just 3 months shy of fire season.  A very well-made reminder is Alex Jablonski’s documentary WILDLAND, which follows a team of young forest-fire-fighters as they are trained in Oregon and then go to California to face their first real, big wildfire. Alex had to take the fighter-fighter’s training to get to make his movie.
