Ever since the 1952 armistice which ended the Korean War without a peace treaty, relations between North Korea and the United States have oscillated between complicated diplomatic negotiations and frightening  crises and threats.  Bruce Bennett of the RAND Corporation has been involved in negotiations with Pyongyang in the past, and is just returned from Seoul.  Japan’s leaders say they’ve never felt more threatened by North Korea than now…what’s the anxiety level in South Korea?
