Will Everett, who first came to Afghanistan as a back-packing tourist and returned again and again over a decade or more, as a journalist and as a manager of USAID projects, will look at the likely impact of the Trump war effort on the Afghan civilians. Their present unhappiness, he says, is easily seen in the flows of refugees fleeing the country.  Only Syria has more citizens in global flight. Trump’s “No more nation-building,” is bad news to them.
