The sermon this week is, “HERE COMES DEATH”. The key verse is Hebrews 9:27 “People are destined to die once and then face judgment.” Death is part of God’s plan for us. Apart from His second coming, there is no avoiding it no matter how hard you try. Death is punishment for sin as God told Adam and Eve in the garden. Why did God appoint everyone to die? What application should we get from the fact that we will die?
Is it reasonable to see death as a blessing in disguise for us? It guarantees that we need not live forever under the curse of sin. Death can be a new beginning, meaning that those with eternal life can live forever in God’s presence without the consequences of sin. Let’s talk about these things as we come together this week in “Worship”.
