Jesus does not plead for Pilate-s mercy. --He simply and regally reveals truth in the face of cynical worldly power knowing that He has come as this world-s true King to give himself to be crucified for the sins of the world. Who would have believed by this cruel and inhumane travesty of justice this -weak- Kingdom would overcome the powers of this present age- He indeed is worthy of all our praise and love-
