Brett is a professor at Lamar University by day and a singer/ songwriter by night. With many credits to his name over the years as an artist working not only with the group Backyard Cowboys, but his upcoming solo project. He shares his journey and tells stories about recording in Nashville, his concerns for country music and what’s in store for his own direction navigating the live music scene. With a deeply moving song “Songwriter” conveying that emotion all can relate to having ourselves be heard to the song “Memphis 1977” a song for one of his greatest inspirations the King himself, Elvis Presley. And closes out with his song “Country 101” as a deep desire to return to his country roots and inspire other artists to do the same.As always we hope you enjoy!
