Dino met Bea on Twitter. Found out they went to the same high school, just like a million years apart (making Dino feel so very old). Turns out Bea wrote a book of poetry, and has a cool story and outlook on writing.
And this was the first podcast we did with Zencastr, which sort of is an amazing tool.
We sat with Robert Mentzer to talk about what he does as a writer. Rob has had a cool arc as a writer from straight daily freelancer, to opinion guy, to editor, to leadership, and now Public Radio. Pretty fun talk.
Dino talks to Keith today, and it throws Dino for a loop. Never expected this conversation to turn out this way. More eye-opening stuff though.
Dino is talking to more and more people about how they stay inspired, how they stay engaged, and what gives them the power to think they have something to stay. Seth Werkheiser is from the old days, Skulltoaster, Buzzgrinder, working at AOL, and now Closed Mondays.
Dino has been writing since the 6th grade, but he has lost his mojo, or desire, or something. So, he is reaching out to some friends who are writers and artists, to try to pick their brains and get some of that light off of them.
Hey, I want to change the podcast. It is election day, so we can use this moment as an anchor.
Dino is having a midlife crisis—and hit record—and here we go. No telling where this is going to end up, but I think he is going to record more often now. Hit him up on Twitter; tell him what you want him to talk about.
Dino is going to sit in front of a mic every so often during the pandemic. Not sure what is going to come out, but this is the first one.
As I was reminiscing last week, an old friend, Kelly, came to mind. I hadn’t spoken to Kelly in many years and thought Here You Are Wausau was a great opportunity to catch up with her.
