Hola mi gente, I hope you are doing well this week! It is my absolute pleasure to introduce Spencer Wong our UC Davis and MIT alumni as well as a Skin Care Baddie. After graduating with his PhD from MIT Spencer chose to pivot in his research career to work in the beauty industry and I can definitely tell you, following his dreams truly paid off. The topics in this episode range from getting research experience, the importance of BIPOC and first-gen culture on University campuses, mentorship, the power of networking and much more. Paving the way is far from perfect and can be filled with a lot of uncertainty however in community and through conversations we are stronger.
