My mama told me once to know your roots and know who you are. Honestly she is not wrong, and my mom has always shared words of wisdom. My dad on the other hand is a huge believer in hard work gets you far and I subscribe to that thought. My little sister on the other hand is an intersection on every one in my family, she is my mom's partner in crime, my dad's unbridled work ethic, my sibling's thoughtfulness and she is fearless. I know there is a privilege that I have for being a part of a family like mine but I don’t take any of them for granted. Thank you, truly thank you.
