In the book of 2 Peter, Peter sternly warns the church against falling for destructive heresies brought in by self seeking men. In today’s message, Pastor David points out that false teachers try to add to the finished work of the cross. Instead of teaching that we receive the gift of salvation by faith, these deceivers lead the people back into the bondage of works based religion. Pastor David admonishes us to hold fast to Christ and the precious freedom He gave us, for we no longer have to try to work to earn salvation. It is a free gift of God.
