A decade ago, a national social movement was created to inspire, empower, and celebrate active citizenship in the country. It developed awards to recognize individuals, non-profit organizations and corporates making strides to promote nation building. This year, it seeks to add a new category: the National Pride award. As one of the esteemed judges describes the significance of the award: Nation pride is about celebrating our heritage, diversity, values and all the beautiful parts of what has brought us here as a nation. It’s a reconciliation of the past, the present and our hope for the future.
