Jillian Hiscock is the owner of A Bar of Their Own — Minneapolis' go to spot for women's sports. Jillian combined her passion for women's sports and her skills as a community organzer to create an inclusive, welcoming spot to watch all the big games. Walk in, grab a seat and get ready to watch ALL WOMEN'S SPORTS —  ALL THE TIME. Game. Set. Match. 

We talk about how the bar came to fruition, obstacles she faced along the way, collecting sports memorabilia for the walls, a visit from Billie Jean King and of course, what the fans like to eat, drink and watch. Lesley Feldman is a former UCLA softball national champion, lawyer and co-founder of the Players Collxctive, a management agency focusing on female athletes. She specializes in contract negotiation, athlete brand management, business strategy, and helping brands navigate the women’s sport industry.

She provides a unique view of the business side of sports and how the NIL changed the landscape for female athletes. Her passion to create opportunities for her clients so they can continue to play the game they love is so impressive. 

Lesley still works full-time at her law firm but somehow finds a way to also run the Players Collxctive — she needs to be cloned. Plus, the feel good moment of the week!

Jen Barnes is the owner of Rough & Tumble - Seattle's pub for women's sports. Jen is a life-long athlete, superfan, entrepreneur and tireless champion of women on and off the field. 

Barnes created a magical hub for women's sports, described as the most intimate stadium experience Seattle has to offer: cold beer within reach, a full menu that knows both classic and hometeam favorites, and a stunning space that’s anything but the cheap seats.

She shares the story of how Rough & Tumble came to be, how Seattle was the perfect fit and gives us the inside scoop on what her customers/rabid sports fans like to eat, drink and watch.

Kathryn Bertine is a retired pro cyclist, author, activist and documentary filmmaker. During her pro career in cycling, she was a three-time Caribbean Champion, six-time national champion of St. Kitts and Nevis (SKN) and raced five years on pro circuit.  

Off the bike, Bertine is a filmmaker, activist and author of four nonfiction books. As an advocate for equality in women’s sports, Bertine started the social activism movement Le Tour Entier in an effort to bring parity to women’s professional road cycling, starting with the Tour de France. 

We talk about her unique story of how she started cycling, the struggles (past and present) women go through to compete, the evolution of the Tour de France Femme and Bertine's heroic activism. Plus, the feel good moment of the week!
