Text: Matthew 2:13-18

The incarnation narrative is full of joy and light and life. But it is also touched with suffering and death. Within the narrative, we find King Herod, a strong and cruel ruler. He's a man willing to kill innocent infants to preserve his own position and power.

Even in a man like Herod, we see what this baby Jesus has come to be and to do.
