After sacrificing himself to save an innocent, Dusten Dunn was granted a second chance at life and granted mystical powers to fight the darkness as Dust, the Wierd Explorer who Eliminates Occult Threats. 

Previously, when Dust failed to get ahold of his friend Angelique, he went to her shop to find out why. When he arrived, he sensed the presence of evil energies, and found a fledgling vampire waiting inside of her home. After a short struggle, he threw the creature out of a window, where it landed amidst the crowd on the sidewalk below.
