After sacrificing himself to save an innocent, Dusten Dunn was granted a second chance at life and granted mystical powers to fight the darkness as Dust, the Wierd Explorer who Eliminates Occult Threats. 

Previously, after discovering that his friend and colleague, Angelique, was missing, Dust fought a fledgling vampire while investigating her home. The trail led him back to the Royal Cajun Hotel, where he discovered the vampiric nature of the mysterious figure he’d met before.
