Tark'An is a former soldier who turned her back on her people to seek her own fortune in the wider galaxy. Meris is a thrill-seeking former void racer who now carves her own road through the starways. Together, they are: Vixens of the Void.

Previously, Tark'An and Meris found themselves pursued by Zavid military craft. After disabling several of their pursuers, Meris found herself alone on their own disabled vessel, while Tark'An barely managed to catch onto one of their pursuers after being thrown free into the void with only Sassy's nanites providing protection.
