Jacob was the father of the nation of Israel. Jacob struggled with deception and control. He was always fighting to promote himself, even through deceit.

The greatest breakthrough of Jacob’s life came through an encounter with God that caused him to finally surrender the control of his life to God. Jacob would tell us that the best thing to do is to “surrender your life to God as soon as possible!”
